There is an art to living life well. And life is a funny changeling. At times it feels you live it to the fullest. At other times it almost passes you by. And sometimes it throws a curved ball. A rather big one of those hit us with the arrival of COVID-19 last year.
Where are you in your life today? Personal coaching is a conversation about your life in the present and the future. It takes place between two equal partners - the client and the coach. It helps you to take stock, to examine what is going well and what could be different. It then supports you to decide on changes you desire. Transformational coaching, the type I engage in, enables you to follow those changes through and to continue on that road equally effectively after the coaching work has finished.
As a coach, I do not delve deeply into the past and I do not diagnose (a major difference from therapy). Neither do I advise. Rather, I help you discover your own solutions to your challenges by asking queations. You are the creating artist as well as the protagonist of your own life - you know yourself best, and you will decide on the best way forward. I use tried and tested tools to create clarity, and together we will uncover what is stopping you from living your desired life already.
Coaching is a goal oriented approach - the question ‘what would be useful to achieve in this session’ is present in every encounter. It is important to note that coaching is no substitute for clinical mental health support. If you are struggling with mental health concerns, a conversation with your GP is a good first port of call.
